Couples Therapy
I work with couples who care about each other but are struggling to connect—often stuck in cycles of miscommunication, resentment, and emotional distance.
Perhaps you're arguing about the dishes, but it feels like something much deeper is at play. My job is to help you uncover what’s really happening beneath the surface—so you can stop repeating the same arguments and start actually hearing each other.
Understanding unhelpful communication habits can give each person a better understanding of the pain they are avoiding. I use humor and directness to get to the root of the issue, then invite the couple to get curious and compassionate, and build relational skills.
By addressing both partners’ concerns, it is important that each feel heard. From struggles in the bedroom to conflict management, I work strategically with couples to develop a stronger sense of intimacy and foster personal accountability within the relationship. Whether you are looking to deepen the relationship or move in a different direction, we engage in exercises and skills to use outside the session once there is an understanding of each other’s wounding. In addition to CSTIP, I am a sex-positive, ENM, poly, and kink-affirmative therapist.
The Gottman method and Relational Life Therapy are what I am drawn to when working with couples, designed to manage conflict and improve intimacy.
You have the option to do sessions remotely online (video or phone), in-person in the Mid City office, or hybrid (combo of both). I offer 50-, 75-, and 90-minute sessions.
Please reach out to discuss booking in-person sessions.
